Since Nokia N900 has a full physical QWERTY keyboard, it is logical to use keyboard shortcuts to get things done faster and much easier. Reading the Nokia N900 User Guide, we found these shortcuts and we are sharing them with you. Don't be surprised if most of them are the same ones you use on your desktop PC.

General shortcuts for Nokia N900

• Ctrl + Backspace - Takes you to the visual Task Switcher from any app
• Ctrl + C - Copy selected text
• Ctrl + V - Paste selected text
• Ctrl + X - Cut selected text
• Ctrl + A - Select all
• Ctrl + O - Open (if available)
• Ctrl + S - Save (if available)
• Ctrl + Z - Undo (if available)
• Ctrl + Y - Redo (if available)
• Ctrl + F - Open search bar (if available)
• Ctrl + Right arrow - Move the pointer to the end of the word (if available)
• Ctrl + Left arrow - Move the pointer to the begining of the word (if available)
• Ctrl + Shift + P - Takes a screenshot and saves it to the Images/Screenshots folder as PNG image
• Ctrl + Shift + X - Opens X Terminal
• Double click the On button - Locks the phone

Web browser shortcuts

• Ctrl + N - Open a new window
• Ctrl + R - Reload the page
• Ctrl + B - Open a bookmark
• Ctrl + D - Add a bookmark

Mail shortcuts

• Ctrl + Enter - Send message
• Ctrl + R - Reply to a message

X Terminal shortcuts

• Ctrl + I or Tab - file name auto completion
• Ctrl + A - moves the cursor to beginning of line
• Ctrl + E - moves the cursor to the end of line
• Ctrl + W - deletes the last word
• Ctrl + K - deletes all characters/words after cursor position
• Ctrl + U - deletes all characters/words before cursor position
• Ctrl + L - clears the screen
• Volume +/- button - changes the font size.
