Add extra levels for the Angry Birds game

Add extra levels for the Angry Birds game
We posted some info about the Angry Birds game some time ago and we liked the game quite a lot. Unfortunately there were no levels left after we completed the 21st. Now there is a solution to this, custom levels for the Angry Birds game that will keep you busy for a while. Since the installing of the extra level pack is not automated, here is a small tutorial on how to get this level pack running on your N900.
If you already have root access you are ready to continue, if not check out the tutorial on how to get root access. Now, download the extra levels pack from our downloads section or the Maemo.org forum thread, both download links are here! If you are downloading the pack straight on your tablet, it will most likely be located in the Documents folder after the download has finished. If you are downloading the file via your PC scroll down to the desktop download steps. Here is how to get the pack running if you downloaded it on your Nokia N900.
What need to be done is to open X Terminal and execute a few commands as root in the following order: navigate to the Documents folder where the cag_level_pack.tar.gz file was downloaded, extract its contents, create a folder in the Angry Birds game folder and copy the contents of the extracted folder into the new folder:
And you are ready to start the game. If you downloaded the file via your desktop copy it to the documents folder and execute the above commands. You can also extract the file contents on your PC and copy the mypack folder to the Documents folder on your N900 in that case just type in the following into X Terminal:
And you are done! Now all you have to do is enjoy the new levels you just installed. From what I was able to see while playing the new levels, they are certainly more challenging, so you will need to tease your brain a bit more in order to pass them.

hi did the pc version but when adding file to documents put it in folder mypack. put the 3rd line in and it said R not found dont know what to do?
Posted by Kerry Woolnough on Monday, March 08, 2010 18:30
after that had a update to rootsh does that make a differance?
Posted by George Dvl on Monday, March 08, 2010 22:05
@Kerry Woolnough First of all you have to have rootsh installed. If you are getting R not found that means that you left some blank spaces or you did not leave where there should be. Make sure that you write the commands exactly as they are written above with the exact blank spaces.

the ping worked so my root instalation must be right. Now when I follow the list and i whant to make a dir it said ;cannot create dir for pack 2, file exists. afterwards with CP it said cannot create -Path does not exist.

I think that all the problems come from entering the commands. To see where you have to hit enter, copy the commands in Notepad and after that it will be clear where to hit enter, after each line

No need to copy in Notepad just hover the code here on the site and you will see the lines like they should be entered into X Term to get the Angry Bird extension working

could not enter the directories. I just followed the order like how it's written down above. So, from the second step (from mkdir) I had 3 enters, after every sentence an enter.

@Cris What do you mean by you could not enter directories... do you have rootsh installed on your N900?
